What do you do and what led you to this career?
Photography has been my thing since I was 14 years old. I fell in love with it shortly after my father gave me his Nikon F3. I figured I’d stick with it.
What is the name and age of your daughter?
Wylder is three years old.
What is the most rewarding aspect of being a father?
Being a father has made me a better artist and person. It given me the ability to put whats important into perspective. She’s my emotional support animal.
And what is the most challenging?
Sometimes you have to dig deep when you’re tired and chasing a toddler but its easy to remember how much you GET from putting IN.
What has been your greatest career achievement thus far?
Continuing to work consistently and feeling incredibly grateful to be able to take photos as my JOB.
What is your best advice for someone new to your industry?
Never stop embracing failure. Never be afraid to take chances and fail - you’re going to grow infinitely more from failure than success.
What is your best advice for a new dad?
Really throw yourself into it. You’ll be surprised how much YOU benefit from spending time with your child.
What is your current favorite activity with your daughter?
Disneyland. We Go all the time solo dad daughter. Wylder is 3 and she’s been 22 times. Its very much our thing — and it is a full emotional reset for me every time we go.
