Fathers In Fashion is the sibling of Fashion Mamas — the first members-only community for influential mothers who work in fashion and creative industries, including art, design, media, and entertainment. Fashion Mamas launched in 2014, and since then the 600-member community has garnered worldwide attention for its dynamic member roster, networking opportunities, entrepreneurial resources, exclusive partnerships, activism campaigns, and members-only events with in-demand brands including Nike and Levi’s. With Fathers In Fashion, our goal is to similarly support fathers who are making big moves in fashion and creative industries. This first-of-its-kind experience will inspire career-driven men to be the best entrepreneurs, parents, and partners they can be. “My father, a musician, never participated in my life,” explains Fathers In Fashion founder Natalie Alcala. “I truly believe that one of the reasons could have been because he didn’t have any real-life examples of cool, creative men who were also fully engaged in the fatherhood experience. It was not until I saw my husband and his peers become fathers that I witnessed the power and magic of a man’s unconditional love for his child. Like Fashion Mamas, if we can shine a light on inspiring men who are leading successful careers while being active parents, our hope is that it will inspire more fathers and fathers-to-be to not only get excited about this new chapter in their lives, but to really dive in and enjoy the journey.”
